hey thanks for checking in on this! I have changed the regen setting to "off" but there's still plenty of engine resistance when I let off the throttle, enough so that it still feels pretty jerky... with regen off should I feel no engine resistance? some but less? I'll double check to see that I disabled the regen properly!

why would the old cable throttle be any less glitchy?

oooh. k. thanks for responding. I also wondered if there was a different electronic throttle, but one with a wider span of travel -- ie, one that you twist farther, for a more gradual control
