The X260 controller should have connectivity to your smartphone through the segway app. In the app you can set and modify parameters like max speed, regenerative braking and other characteristics of the bike. Try pairing the bike with your phone and go from there!

I did just think about this a bit more and there is the 60V GPS wiring under the seat of the Sur Ron which you could use even when the bike is not powered on (provided the breaker is on though), however this needs to be stepped down to 12V with a converter for it to be usable by most peripheral electronics.

Try using our electrical troubleshooting page! It sounds like the motor has a short between the phases which could cause a feedback buzz in the motor controller. You will have to calibrate it for every bike. There is a set angle that they ship it with, but for optimal performance, efficiency, and safety, you should calibrate your controller to your unique hall sensor angle. This will be input usually with 3 values dictated by the phase positions.

There is not. When the bike is off the only source of power is to the ignition and it is not usable because it connects to the DC converter to power the rest of the bike. This is almost definitely due to the way that regenerative braking works. When you let off the throttle, the bike is applying an inverted torque on the wheel to reduce speed and generate electricity to charge the battery. This can cause the bike to feel extremely jerky when you re-apply throttle or when you let off. This is inherent to the way the bike is programmed, however you can always disable or lessen regen with your programming cable and brake cut-out sensors.
